What's A Zendrum?
A Zendrum is the MIDI controller pictured on the home page of this site. It is not capable of making sound by iteslf and must be hooked up to some form of tone generator. Learn more by browsing this site or the Zendrum site.

How many Zendrums are there?
According to creator David Haney, there's about 1000 Zendrums in existance.

How long does it take to make a Zendrum?
5 hours of lumber milling, carving and sanding; about 10 total hours labor in the paint shop, not counting drying time between coats and curing time; 5 hours of subassembly; 5 hours of final assembly; 2 hours of email, paperwork, packing and shipping. Approximately 27-30 hours total labor, variable as to wood and finish.

When was the first Zendrum publically used?
In Perth, Australia, February 1994, by Manu Katche on the Peter Gabriel "US" world tour.
