Always Have A Backup

A Zendrum is a piece of sophisticated hardware. Common sense tells us that the more complex something is, the more chance something will go wrong. Here's a quick checklist of things to take to your next gig. If you play other instruments or also sing, well, you're on your own.

Must Haves:
Zendrum w/Strap/stand
Sound module
Mergebox
2 MIDI cables (merge to Zen, Merge to module)
Audio Cable(s) to Amp/Speakers and possibly the amp/speakers themselves, depending on your arrangement

Should Haves:
2 additional MIDI cables
Additional Audio cable
Surge Protector
E
xtension cord
Back up Mergebox (Seriously - these things are small and can get stepped on or crushed in bizarre accidents)

Expensive Should Haves (Wait until you're playing Radio City before running out for these):
Backup sound module
This might be an identical sound module or a cheap backup in case of emergency
Second Zendrum in case someone spills something on yours

Things You Rarely Need, but...
Masking tape (to affix cables in place)
Band aids
Acoustic percussion in case something indescribable happens or to grab in emergency. Tambourine or maracas usually can 'quick cover'
Extra strap/stand
